The ultimate free Notepad replacement and a handy HTML editor.
One may often find themselves fumbling around with Windows' notepad.exe application, but it doesn't always have to be that way when programs like NoteTab Light are available.
The program can essentially be classed as either a notepad replacement, an HTML editor or both. Either way, it does provide some additional functionality not present in vanilla programs like Notepad.
NoteTab Light provides a tabbed interface which integrates with its other features like its old school-style ribbon featuring all of the Windows icons we're familiar with such as New Document, Save, Print, etc.
Other features include HTML editing, rich text, word wrap and naturally a search-and-replace tool like Wordpad. NoteTab Light also supports automated tasks (known as macros).
All in all, NoteTab Light is a handy editing tool and the developers were kind enough to include several useful features in their free version.
